Police make arrest in relation to Hastings aggravated robbery

Police have arrested a young woman in relation to an aggravated robbery on Heretaunga Street East on Saturday the 25th June.

The arrest comes after a 77-year-old male ended up in hospital with serious injuries after offenders allegedly broke into his home, assaulted him and stole his vehicle.

The 17–year-old handed herself into Police yesterday and has been charged with aggravated robbery and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

She will be appearing in Hastings District Court tomorrow.

Police are still making enquiries to locate other offenders involved in the attack.
