Police name victim of fatal motorcycle crash

Canterbury Police can name the victim of the fatal motorcycle crash on Gebbies Pass Road shortly before 6pm on 30 November 2014 as 37 year old Christchurch man Jay Michael SENIOR.

The death has been referred to the Coroner.

The black Suzuki motorcycle is believed to have been heading west along Gebbies Pass Road when it appears to have drifted across the road, onto the grass verge and travelled a short distance before colliding with a tree.

Police are keen to speak to anyone who was travelling along Gebbies Pass Road that afternoon as they may be able to help with their inquiries into the crash.

Police investigations into the cause of the crash are continuing.

If you were travelling to/through the Teddington intersection, witnessed the crash or saw a black motorcycle heading along Gebbies Pass on 30 November 2014 (late-afternoon) please contact Christchurch Police by calling 03 423 1381.
