1 min read

Hawkes Bay Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the youth responsible for a sexually motivated incident that occurred in a Napier suburb.

Detective Sergeant Darren Pritchard said that at about 4.45pm on Monday evening a woman walking her dog was approached by the youth from behind in Norfolk Street Tamatea.

The young man grabbed at the woman before running away.

"Someone in our community will know this youth who is decribed as about 15 years-old, of thin build, dark skin, wearing a black top and shorts, black nike shoes and white ¾ length socks. This youth had been seen in the area prior to the incident," said Mr Pritchard.

"It is also a timely reminder to consider your personal safety at all times when you are out and about," said Mr Pritchard.
