Police seek to locate BMW

Police are seeking assistance to locate a black BMW which is believed to have been involved in a number of aggravated robberies in Auckland and Hamilton.

Police say the car, with the registration number FHA306, is known to have been used in at least three aggravated robberies and in each of these a firearm and machete was used.  

These incidents occurred between February 19 and 20 in the following locations: Rifle Range Rd, Dinsdale, Hamilton at 5.39pm on 19 February; Fowlds Avenue, Sandringham, Auckland at 1.15pm on 19 February and Larnoch Rd, Henderson, Auckland at 9.42pm on 20 February. 

Detective Martin Friend said Police have been unable to locate the vehicle since the three incidents and would like to hear from anyone who may have spotted the car in the areas outlined above.

He said two offenders were seen in each incident and they are described as being of solid build, around 6’2” and dressed in dark clothing with balaclavas.
