1 min read

Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a black mountain-bike left in the area of Bell, Plymouth, Dublin and Niblett Streets in Whanganui overnight on Thursday last week (24 March).

Police believe the bike may have been left in the area by a 49-year-old man who was allegedly involved in an incident in the city on Thursday morning and has since been charged with a number of offences, including burglary and kidnapping.

The man, who was shot by police after presenting a firearm at officers, has been remanded in custody.  Police can now also confirm that the firearm presented at police was a replica firearm.

Anyone with information on the location of the black mountain-bike can text or call Police on 022 343 2592.  If calling, please leave a voicemail including your phone number and Police will call you back.
