Police warn motorists in the Central Plateau to drive with care

1 min read

Police are being kept busy in the Central Plateau this morning as icy roads cause chaos.

There have been several minor crashes across the region already this morning as motorists make their way to and from work.

While there have been no reported injuries, some vehicles have suffered minor damage.

Police advise driving conditions across the region could remain hazardous for the next 24 hours, and are urging motorists to take extra care on the roads.

Police ask drivers to assess their local conditions, and if the roads are icy, try to avoid non-essential travel. If you are driving, please drive slowly, extend following distances, be patient and allow extra time for your journeys.
