Counties Manukau Police are pleased to advise that Rangi Joseph Harris has been located and taken to custody.
Police had been looking for the 45 year-old since Friday, after the alleged serious assault of an elderly woman at a Botany resthome.
Officers received information from the public about his whereabouts and he was arrested without incident a short time ago at a Papatoetoe address.
He will be charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday.
