Search warrants lead to arrests at Nelson addresses

1 min read

Three men were arrested yesterday after Police executed several search warrants at addresses linked to the Mongrel Mob.

The arrests were in relation to an altercation on Saturday, September 1.

The incident appears to have been an internal gang dispute, during which a male victim received minor injuries.

The men have been charged jointly for assault with intent to injure.

“Police have and will continue to take a firm line on gang violence and intimidation within the community,” said Detective Sergeant Lex Bruning.

“We want to reassure members of the public that any behaviour which adversely impacts on the community will be actively Policed.”

The three offenders will appear at Nelson District Court on Tuesday, September 18.
