Search for woman at Haumoana

The search for a woman swept out at Haumoana, Hawke’s Bay, this afternoon is expected to continue until dark.

Emergency services were notified around 4:50pm of three people that were in trouble in the water at Haumoana.

Two children made it back on shore and were taken to hospital, and are in a stable condition.

However, a woman remains outstanding and a search is underway to locate her.

The search is being co-ordinated by Police, and involves other emergency services, Coastguard, surf lifesaving, and a helicopter.
