Roads in central Hastings are blocked due to a serious crash.
It happened on Heretaunga Street West about 6:10am, and is believed to have involved two vehicles.
Injuries are unclear at this stage. The Serious Crash Unit is on scene.
There are cordons in place at the intersection of Beresford Street and Methuen Street, and on Heretaunga Street West from Townshend Street to Grays Road.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible, and have patience.
