Truck stolen with $300,000 worth of cosmetics

Police are investigating the unlawful taking of a truck overnight that contains about $300,000 of cosmetics.

The truck was parked on Redvers Drive in Belmont, Lower Hutt, overnight on Thursday 19th September and was discovered missing on Friday morning.

The stolen truck is a 1992 Isuzu NRR coloured white, Registration Number WR1968.  It has ‘Whypaymore Ltd’ in black text on both doors of the cab.  On both sides of the truck body is a picture of a TV cabinet and musical notes with the word Melody across the top.  On the rear doors is a phone number 0800 589 0808.

The cosmetics are all of the top brands such as Revlon, D & G, Beyonce, Britney Spears, Hugo Boss etc.  The types of cosmetics are perfumes, eyeliners, lipsticks, blushers, nail polish etc.  All of these goods are stored in cardboard boxes in the truck.  Also in the truck were 40 trestle tables (folding tables).
