1 min read

Two men will appear in court today after a property was burgled earlier this morning in Christchurch.

Police were called after the neighbour of a New Brighton property undergoing renovation noticed torch light coming from the empty house at around 3:30am today, April 2.

Two men were then seen leaving the property. Thanks to the description of the men and their vehicle provided by the neighbour, Police later spotted the men in Parklands and arrested them.

Tools and other building equipment were recovered from the vehicle.

The pair, aged 29 and 41, are due to appear in Christchurch District Court today charged with burglary.
