Two arrests in ongoing Tauranga operation

Bay of Plenty Police have today arrested another two people in relation to Operation Fauna.

A man, 37, and a woman, 38, have been charged with supplying psychoactive substances and possessing psychoactive substances for supply, following a search warrant at a Tauranga address this morning.

They will appear in Tauranga District Court on Friday 6 July.

Police restrained between eight and nine kilograms of synthetic drugs located at the residential address, as well as about $40,000 in cash and a car worth about $20,000.

Operation Fauna demonstrates Police’s commitment to the combatting the manufacture and sale of synthetic drugs within our communities and preventing the immense social harm they cause.
