Two people arrested in connection with Havelock North robbery

1 min read

Two people have been arrested for aggravated robbery after a search warrant was executed in Havelock North this morning.

The young men, aged 16 and 17, will be held in custody to appear in the Hastings District Court tomorrow on a number of charges in relation to the aggravated robbery of Mobil Havelock North, which occurred around 8pm on Monday 23 April.

Police enquires have established that three offenders were in a Subaru which they had allegedly stolen a short time before the robbery from Lipscombe Crescent, Havelock North. It’s possible they canvassed a number of other stores in Havelock North prior to this and may have been seen across the area earlier in the evening.

The stolen dark green Subaru station wagon, registration number WK4581, has not yet been located and Police are requesting any information or sightings from the public.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate the third offender.

Anyone who has any information about the location of this vehicle or this investigation is urged to call Detective Constable Karli Whiu on 06 873 0531.

Information can be provided anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
