1 min read

Canterbury Police investigations into the fatal crash on the Hakataramea Valley Road near Cattle Creek at the weekend (9/10 May 2015) are continuing.

In an earlier release Canterbury Police released the name of the victim of the fatal crash and confirmed one passenger had been discharged from hospital.

Canterbury Police can provide the following update on the remaining occupants of the vehicle.  The 22 year old female passenger has now also been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home today.  A 22 year old male passenger is in a serious but stable condition in Burwood Hospital while a 25 year old male passenger is in a critical condition in Christchurch Hospital ICU.  The 39 year old driver is in a serious but stable condition in Dunedin Hospital.

Canterbury Police will provide an update next week as the investigation into the crash progresses.

Police urge caution with the strong winds and stormy weather predicted across Canterbury this weekend.  Remember to increase your following distances when travelling on wet roads and drive to the conditions.  The posted speed limits are a maximum not a target.
