The body of the 57-year-old man who died following a hunting incident in the Kaimai-Mamaku Forest Park yesterday has been removed from the scene.
A scene examination has been completed and all witnesses have been spoken to.
The man's next of kin has been advised and our thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
A post mortem has been scheduled for tomorrow in Auckland.
