UPDATE Queenstown Police search and rescue

Queenstown Police Search and Rescue Teams are still searching for a missing 25-year-old Australian tourist who was last seen yesterday.

Robert Galdamez was last seen in the Ben Lomond walking track area, wearing blue Nike shoes, black sports leggings and a dark green North Face puffer jacket. 

Police would like to hear from another man who was seen by a witness approximately 10 minutes from the Ben Lomond Summit between 5.30pm and 6.00pm last night on Tuesday the 18th of October.

This man is described as in his mid to late 40’s with a shaved or bald head with grey stubble.  He was wearing a red or pink-coloured faded tee shirt and khaki-coloured trousers. 

The man did not appear to be carrying any other property and may have be local to the area.

Any person with information about this man or the missing tourist is urged to call the Queenstown Police Station on 03 441 1600 and ask to speak to Senior Sergeant Fookes or the Search and Rescue Co-ordination team urgently.
