One person had died following a crash in Christchurch this evening.
The crash occurred on Aldwins Road, shortly after 6.15pm and involved a car and a motorcycle. The 20-year-old man riding the motorcycle has died as a result of the crash.
Aldwins Road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Police would like to thank members of the public who assisted immediately after the crash to support those involved and make the scene safe.
