Update, Te Aroha sudden death

1 min read

A forensic examination into yesterday's death of a Te Aroha woman has raised more questions than it has answered for officers investigating how she died.

Area Investigations Manager for Eastern Waikato, Detective Senior Sergeant Graham Pitkethley, said a post-mortem examination was carried out in Auckland today to try and establish the cause of the 28-year-old woman's death.

"However this examination was inconclusive and we will now have to wait on the results of further forensic examinations including toxicology tests which are expected to take some time.

"At this point in time the woman's death remains an unexplained sudden death."

Mr Pitkethley said an examination of the Stanley Ave property was continuing today as were enquiries with residents in and around the immediate area.
