Update - Wellington motorway incident

A person has been killed after being hit by a vehicle on the Wellington motorway just before 6.30pm this evening. 
 
Traffic is being diverted off the northbound motorway at the Tinakori Road off-ramp. 
 
The road is expected to remain closed for some time.
