Wairarapa Police seek information about vehicle following hit-and-run

Wairarapa Police investigating a hit-and-run in Greytown are seeking a particular vehicle to assist us with our enquiries.

The incident happened on Sunday 25 June between about 6:30-7am, on State Highway 2 between North Street and Ahikōuka Road.

The victim suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle while walking northbound alongside State Highway 2.

As part of the investigation, Police are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate a vehicle seen in Carterton shortly after the incident.

The vehicle has been described as a mid-90s model blue or green Holden Commodore sedan, understood to have a large dent in the roof over the front passenger side and white or chrome wheels.

Police believe that vehicle was travelling between Featherston and Carterton between 5:30-7:30am on Sunday 25 June.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on this vehicle, or knows who it might belong to, to please contact Police on 105 quoting file number 230713/0952.
