Waitakere Police seek witnesses

1 min read

Waitakere Police are investigating a report of a woman being dragged into a car in Glen Eden just before 11pm last night (Wednesday 24 July), near the Caltex Petrol Station on West Coast Road.

A member of the public heard a young lady scream for help, before she was pulled into the back seat of a late-model black hatchback by a tall, solid polynesian man. Two other people were in the car.

The car has then sped off, driving erratically towards the intersection of West Coast and Parrs Cross Roads. It then turned left and continued along West Coast Road, towards Oratia.

The woman involved is believed to be caucasian, around 16 to 17 years old, with light brown hair past her shoulders. She is approximately 5'4" in height.

"We'd like to hear from anyone who may have seen this incident, or anyone who was in the car involved. At this stage no-one has been reported missing but we are taking the matter seriously" says Detective Laura Ellis, Henderson Police.
