This chapter details Police’s responsibilities to victims and explains the procedures to be followed when supporting victims of an offence. An upated version of this chapter will be uploaded shortly.
This chapter helps guide Police employees when using work and personal social media accounts and interacting with Police's online communities. Some parts of this chapter have been considered not appropriate for release and, if requested, would be withheld under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). In this chapter, the relevant sections of the Act that would apply have been identified.
The requirements set out in this chapter are mandatory for the retention and disposal of all Police records. This chapter focuses on physical records.
In keeping with the Open Government Partnership National Action Plan 2016-2018, and as Administrator of the Arms Act 1983, Police is releasing its responses to some recent Official Information Act requests, where it is considered they contain data and information that has wider public interest.
