Investigation into the engagement of external security consultants

Report released on 18 December 2018. Following the State Services Commission inquiry into the use of security consultants in the state sector (which excluded Police for legislative reasons), Police initiated its own investigation to ensure any Police engagements with external security consultants meets ethical standards consistent with Police’s values and Code of Conduct.

Police comment on review findings

Deputy Commissioner Mike Clement says the investigation should give the public confidence that police are managing its interactions with external security consultants in a professional and appropriate way.
