Name suppression lifted for accused in Port Waikato deaths

The man charged with the murder of two people at Port Waikato on January 3, 2004, appeared in the Pukekohe District Court this morning.

He was further remanded until February 25, 2004, for a pre depositions hearing.

No application was made on behalf of the defendant for bail or continued suppression of his name.

The defendant can be named as Bernard Taylor, a 38 year old solo father from Port Waikato.
