1 min read

A 29 year old man is still to be charged in relation to a slow speed police pursuit during rush hour in Auckland yesterday.

The driver of the vehicle that was pursued by police for more than half an hour received a broken collar bone when his car crashed.

He was taken to Auckland Hospital for treatment and is there under police guard.

He will be charged with driving while disqualified, reckless driving and failing to stop.

Initial reports indicated that there were no serious injuries.

An investigation into the pursuit will be conducted on behalf of the Police Complaints Authority now that police have received an update on the man’s condition.
