Motorcyclist killed in road crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a road crash this afternoon in Palmerston North.

The crash happened about 3.45pm on Apollo Parade when the motorcycle went out of control on a bend. The rider came off the bike and it is believed he then hit a post.

No other vehicle or person was involved. The man is believed to be a 32-year-old man. His details are not being disclosed until police are satisfied that all of the man’s family have been informed.

An investigation into the crash is underway and anyone with any relevant information is asked to contact Palmerston North Police on 06 351 3600.
