Taking a 'short cut' earns a short stay in cells

1 min read

A Hamilton man will have plenty of time to reassess his navigation skills today after being arrested in the City early this morning taking the wrong 'short cut'.

Police were called to a Te Aroha St address about 2.15am after a woman called 111 complaining a man had tried to enter to her house.

The woman had been disturbed by the noise after a security chain had prevented the man gaining entry.

When arrested the man said it was all a mistake and that he'd just been trying to take a short cut- through the woman's home.

He will be appearing in the Hamilton District Court today to discuss just how he managed to get so 'off track'?
