Bodies Found In Garage in West Auckland

Henderson Police are investigating the circumstances behind the discovery of two bodies found at an address in West Auckland tonight.

Police say they were called to a house in Harrington Road, Henderson at 4.50pm. On arrival they found the bodies of a male aged 41 years, and a female aged 33 years, both of whom were deceased. The bodies were in a garage located at the rear of the house. Police found a firearm at the scene.

Residents of the address were inside the house when police arrived. An area canvas has been carried out by police and Victim Support are now talking with the families and relatives of the two deceased.

A Police guard will remain at the scene overnight and further forensic examinations will continue in the morning. Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident.

The bodies of the two deceased will now be taken to the mortuary for a post mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. A formal identification will also be made.
