Media are invited to the official launch of the non-emergency call service demonstration for people in Auckland City and Bay of Plenty police districts.
When: 12:30pm for a 12:45pm start, Friday 24 November 2006.
Where: Northern Communications Centre, 159 Great North Road, Auckland.
Who: Police Minister Annette King, Police Commissioner Howard Broad and Project Leader Superintendent Steve Christian.
Special Guest: Chair of the Independent External Panel set up to review the Police Communications Centres, Acting Assistant Commissioner Mick Corboy (New South Wales Police).
What: This is the opportunity to film the new call centre in action and interview key players and call centre Customer Service Advisors. A call scenario will be demonstrated to provide visuals / audio.
