1 min read

Porirua Police believe a man sought for a Plimmerton assault and arson may be travelling in the central North Island.

Detective Sergeant Andrew Saunders, Porirua CIB, said 37-year-old Graham Adrian Rae has links with people living in the central North Island and Waikato areas.

"It's quite possible Rae has left the Porirua area and headed north," Detective Sergeant Saunders said.

A warrant to arrest Rae was issued yesterday on charges of injuring with intent to injure and arson following an alleged assault on a woman and the arson of a house in Corlett Road, Plimmerton, on Tuesday night.

Rae, described as a European, 170cm tall, brown hair and of medium build, is believed to be driving a black Mazda Familia car. The registration number is XRS215.

Anyone who sees Rae or knows where he might be found, is asked to contact Porirua Police on telephone: 04 238 1400, or contact their nearest police station.
