The Police investigation into the death of Dick Pere in Waitarere Beach Forest on Wednesday, 4 May is largely complete.
Police are now satisfied that no-one else was involved in the death of Mr Pere and the matter has now been referred to the Coroner.
Mr Pere's family have been updated on the Police findings.
Police would like to thank the public for their assistance throughout this investigation.
