North Shore shooting update #3

1 min read

Police confirm that as a result of publicity following the fatal shooting on the North Shore this morning, that the dead man at the centre of the incident has been identified.

Assistant Commissioner Upper North, Allan Boreham, said the man's identity would be released once his next of kin had been informed. Police were working to do so as soon as possible.

Police advise that due to their ongoing inquiries at the scene, a section of the Northern Motorway will remain closed this evening. A short diversion will be put in place to divert northbound traffic around the scene. The remainder of the motorway remains open.

Inquiries into the incident are continuing.
