Female threatened with a hammer during dairy robbery in Tauranga

Police are investigating a robbery at the Cameronian Dairy, in Cameron Road, Tauranga, on Sunday 17 July 2016. 

Two men entered the dairy at about 5.10pm and one threatened the female worker with a hammer before they stole the till, containing a quantity of cash, and cigarettes.

Both men left in a dark-coloured Nissan sedan which travelled down 17th Avenue and up Clarke Street, behind Tauranga Hospital.

Nobody was hurt during the robbery, but the victim was extremely traumatised and is receiving assistance from Victim Support.

Police would like to speak to the two men pictured, in relation to this incident.  

Detective Sergeant Alan Kingsbury said someone in the community would have knowledge of those involved and could hold the key to solving the robbery.
