Police are currently at the scene of an incident in Hillcrest Avenue, Hillcrest, which occurred just before 9am.
The information available at this stage is that a man has sustained life-threatening injuries after falling into a storm-water drain on a residential property.
Work was being carried out on the drain by a contracting company. The injured man is not one of the workers.
The man has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
