Robbery at Stokes Valley New World

At approximately 6:40am this morning, the New World Supermarket at Stokes Valley was robbed by a man who entered the shop brandishing a shotgun, and another man was seen waiting in the car park.

A member of the public was injured by one of the men who hit the victim over the head with the butt of the shot gun.  It’s unsure what the victim’s injuries are, and it’s unclear at this point in time if any money was stolen.

The first offender, is described as a male Mäori or Polynesian of medium build wearing a black beanie, white painters overalls (sleeveless). 

The second offender is described as also being male Maori or Polynesian wearing a black beanie with black fabric covering his face.  This offender was wearing white overalls with sleeves.  He is described as about 30 years old and about 5 foot 8 Inches (or about 172 cm) tall.

The offenders have left in a vehicle, but the description of the vehicle is unknown at this stage.
