Hutt Valley Police are investigating a serious assault to a 63 year old woman that occurred in Naenae, Lower Hutt at about 10pm on 28 December 2015.
The victim has been treated for injuries and is resting with family.
Police are wanting to speak to anyone who may have seen a male Maori of about 35-40 years old, of solid to fat build with a beard walking in the central Naenae area during the evening of 28 December 2015.
